THE RE-ENACTORS—WWI Veteran Zennosuke Inouye
The Re-enactors bring to life Surrey’s true stories through interactive and fun performances by professional actors recreating the lives of Surrey pioneers from 1872 to 1945. These performances feature Kevin Takahide Lee* as WWI veteran Zennosuke Inouye. Post-WWII internment, Inouye was the only Japanese Canadian War Veteran to have his land returned. Writer/Director: Yvette Dudley-Neuman, ASM: Emily Henney. Presentation development and copyright is property of the City of Surrey, Heritage Services and performed with permission of the Canadian Actors Equity Association*. More info ›

Assaulted Fish

For over ten years, Assaulted Fish has been entertaining audiences of all sizes, shapes, colours and orientations with their tightly crafted comedy sketches that range from well-observed character studies to sharp social commentary to surreal slapstick. They have appeared multiple times at the CanWest Comedy Festival and SketchFest Seattle and performed sold-out shows at the 2013 Vancouver Fringe Festival and the 2014 Vancouver Sketch Comedy Festival.
